Betel Portugal is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to restoring lives and supporting social inclusion. Since 1996, it has developed free rehabilitation programmes for young people and adults experiencing exclusion, marginalisation or social vulnerability. Its work helps participants build values, skills and confidence, adopt healthier lives free from addiction, and become active members of their communities.

Alongside its social programmes, Betel offers practical ways for individuals and businesses to contribute. It collects reusable furniture, clothing, books and household appliances, with collections promoted in areas including Porto and Lisbon. Suitable items may be restored and made available to people and families in need, supporting reuse and reducing waste. Betel also accepts monetary donations and invites the public to help by purchasing items or providing work.

Its services include furniture collection, removals and transport, as well as painting, building work, cleaning and other tasks. Through these activities, the organisation connects community support with practical assistance, directing its work toward people who need help while encouraging a more sustainable use of goods.
