Better Communication Together CIC

Better Communication Together CIC is a Community Interest Company helping people communicate with greater confidence, connection and enjoyment. Led by Nicola Pike, a Licensed Makaton Tutor and Ambassador with more than 40 years of experience, the organisation makes inclusive communication practical and accessible for families, professionals and communities. It provides licensed Makaton training in Bristol, South Gloucestershire and surrounding areas, as well as online training and activities for participants across the UK.

Services include Makaton workshops and training for schools, nurseries, colleges, healthcare teams, care providers, charities, churches, visitor attractions and other organisations. Topics include Makaton levels one to four, communication in different settings, signing with babies and families, and using Makaton with singing. The organisation also offers online activities and groups, including Makaton Club, Book Buddies, Kitchen Disco Live and Sunday Singalong.

Using signs, symbols and creative approaches, Better Communication Together supports people to build communication skills and confidence. Its work is shaped by co-production, with people with lived experience contributing to sessions and sharing their perspectives.
