About Better Future Project
Better Future Project is a brand dedicated to addressing climate change and creating a sustainable future. Their mission is to build a diverse and powerful grassroots movement that will drive society to address climate change and its devastating effects. They envision a world with a healthy, stable, and livable climate, where all people live in resilient communities powered by 100% renewable energy that is equitably distributed, decentralized, and democratically controlled.
The brand's history and work date back to 2011 when they started a summer program for college students. Over the years, they expanded their programming to engage the broader community and launched 350 Massachusetts in 2012, a volunteer climate action network. They have successfully campaigned for the end of coal in Massachusetts, helped catalyze the state's offshore wind industry, and advocated for divestment from fossil fuels.
They also work on advancing the Road to a Massachusetts Green New Deal and support campus divestment campaigns across New England. Additionally, they have launched Communities Responding to Extreme Weather (CREW) to promote grassroots resilience to climate impacts.
