About BetterGrids
BetterGrids is a non-profit organization that supports the Grid Data Repository, a collection of grid network models and power systems test data. Their vision is to provide grid researchers with the essential test data they need to develop better solutions for grid optimization, control, resiliency, and integration of renewable and distributed resources. They operate the Repository in a self-funding manner and rely on a community of volunteers to govern BetterGrids.
The organization also develops value-added grid research solutions to help recover operating costs and connects grid research students with entrepreneurs to improve Tech-to-Market success. They organize annual fundraising events and make grants to research students working on better grid solutions.
