Better Pathways

Better Pathways is a Birmingham-based organisation focused on mental health, wellbeing and social impact. Through its programmes and social enterprises, it supports people facing mental health challenges, disabilities, learning difficulties and other barriers to employment to build confidence, develop skills and pursue personal and vocational goals. Its person-centred support includes one-to-one guidance, employment preparation, training, volunteering and pathways to further education or work.

The organisation’s social enterprises provide services and products for businesses while creating supported opportunities for participants. Better Packing offers fulfilment and assembly services for manufacturing and engineering clients. Better Signage provides business signage and vehicle graphics, while Better Woodwork creates bespoke and upcycled products using recycled materials. Better Pathways also works with Express Signs and the Woodcraft Centre to connect participants with practical, supportive work environments. Its L.I.V.E. programme develops learning, independence, volunteering and employment skills, alongside initiatives such as the PURE Project, mental health connector services and community wellbeing partnerships.
