About Beulah Baptist Church
Beulah Baptist Church has a rich history dating back to its founding in January 1861, during the Civil War. Reverend Clem Robinson, the first pastor, established the church in October 1863 as an outgrowth of the first colored school in the area, which served over 700 students. The legacy continued with Reverend Dr.
Columbus Watson, who served as pastor for an impressive 58 years, guiding the church through many renovations and expansions. Under his leadership, various ministries and programs were established to meet the needs of the congregation, including educational initiatives, worship services, and community outreach. The church offers services every Sunday at 320 S Washington Street in Alexandria, VA.
