Bevrijdingsfestival Overijssel trekt ieder jaar zo’n 140.000 bezoekers tot ver buiten de provinciegrenzen en is daarmee een van de grotere bevrijdingsfestivals van Nederland. Het Bevrijdingsfestival Overijssel is een gratis festival! Om ieder jaar weer mooie bands en fantastische projecten neer te zetten, zijn er extra inkomsten nodig. Daar zijn we in eerste instantie onze subsidieverstrekkers heel dankbaar voor. Maar alleen met subsidie kunnen we het festival niet op een hoog niveau houden. Gelukkig zijn er ieder jaar weer heel veel mensen die zichzelf of hun bedrijf aan het festival willen verbinden. Sponsors, partners, vrijwilligers. Stuk voor stuk mensen met een warm hart voor vrijheid. Mensen die we onze vrienden noemen! Dankzij hen kunnen wij een line-up neerzetten waarop jij niet stil kunt staan en wilt swingen. Maar onze vrienden bieden ons ook extra middelen om een inhoudelijk programma neer te zetten. Want een feestje is leuk: het blijft onze missie iedereen te blijven attenderen op het feit dat we heel blij mogen zijn dat we vrij zijn en dat dat niet voor iedereen op de aarde geldt. Om onze bezoekers te trekken, zetten wij verschillende middelen in. En daar kunt u op meeliften! Ook zijn we ieder jaar weer op zoek naar partners waarmee we mooie projecten kunnen ontwikkelen en meer vrijwilligers om het festival op te bouwen. Ook verkopen we dit jaar weer kaartjes voor onze speciale backstage press&guest area, zodat men al vanaf € 30,- het festival kan steunen. Bevrijdingsfestival Overijssel is a public festival celebrating freedom and commemorating the end of the Second World War in the Netherlands. Bringing people together for a shared day of remembrance and celebration, the festival recognizes the role of Allied forces and the Dutch resistance in the country’s liberation, while honoring those who lost their lives. Its program combines live music with activities and experiences for a broad audience.
Past lineups have featured artists including Typhoon & Sticks, DI-RECT, Kensington and K’s Choice, alongside performances such as that of the Jostiband. Festival areas include a family meadow, a garden for drinks, a dance theatre and the Festival Boulevard, where visitors can explore stalls and workshops.
