Beweeg Kind

Beweeg Kind App is a movement and exercise app designed to help children become active through accessible, guided activities. Its programme was created by Samantha Stegeman, a paediatric exercise therapist with expertise in children’s motor development. Intended for children aged three and older, the app offers 23 exercises across four categories: basics, balance, jumping and ball skills. Each activity includes audio instructions, and exercises can be adjusted to make them easier or more challenging, helping children practise at a suitable level and work independently.

The activities are suitable for use at home, in a playground or in a park. The app was developed for iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and Android devices, with a responsive design for different screens. The project brings together therapist and concept lead Samantha Stegeman, illustrator and voice contributor Eva Poppink, and app developer Michael de Gans, alongside other contributors to audio, translation and professional feedback. Beweeg Kind App aims to make children’s movement practice engaging and convenient for families, with friendly illustrations and clear guidance supporting exercise beyond formal lessons.
