Kinder in Bewegung gGmbH

Kinder in Bewegung gGmbH (KiB) is the kindergarten provider of the Berlin State Sports Association and operates 23 movement-focused kindergartens across seven Berlin districts. Its approach places movement at the heart of everyday learning, creating safe, lively environments where children can explore, develop and express themselves as individuals. KiB’s educational work supports children’s development through experiences involving the body and senses, alongside high-quality education, upbringing and care.

Key areas include physical activity, healthy eating, language development, integration, inclusion and children’s rights. The organisation’s published quality standards, called “BiK – Bildung im Kindergarten,” guide daily practice across its centres. Families can explore the locations and contact details of all 23 kindergartens to find a setting suited to their child’s needs.

KiB also shares information and resources for families and professionals, and offers professional development, work placements, vocational training and dual study opportunities. Its services and programmes reflect a commitment to making movement an enriching part of children’s kindergarten experience
