About Beyond the sea
Beyond the Sea®'s mission is to decarbonize maritime transport through the automated SeaKite kite traction system. Our company offers LibertyKite® for recreational boats and SeaKite for intelligent traction in commercial shipping. These kites harness wind power to reduce a ship's energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, while also enhancing safety.
LibertyKite® is designed for pleasure boating, artisanal fishing, and offshore racing, prioritizing safety and enjoyment. On the other hand, SeaKite is a fully automated system for smart ship traction suitable for various vessels, from luxury yachts to commercial ships. Its application results in an average daily fuel consumption reduction of 20% and decreases in greenhouse gas emissions.
Our groundbreaking SeaKite demonstrator, a revolutionary autonomous, zero-emission catamaran, serves as a platform for experimentation and is equipped with a SeaKite® system capable of towing kites ranging from 50 to 200 m2.
