Beyond Blindness

Beyond Blindness is a South Australian organisation supporting people who are blind or vision impaired. Its mission is to provide high-standard welfare, support and advocacy services that promote independence, dignity and quality of life. The organisation also works to improve services by representing the needs of people with vision impairment to government and other agencies, and offers financial assistance to people in need.

Beyond Blindness provides services to legally blind people who live in South Australia. Membership is available through a life membership fee of $25. Its programs include social activities, outings, lunches, concerts and a singing group, based at its social centre in Campbelltown. The organisation also offers a Technology Lounge and information about NDIS and My Aged Care, alongside recreation and leisure opportunities. People can get involved through volunteering or donations, and access publications and useful information through its website. Beyond Blindness manages its finances to support the long-term provision of services and aims to enhance the quality of life of the community it serves.
