BeyondTrauma Academy CIC

Beyond Trauma Academy CIC is a survivor-led trauma education and recovery organisation that brings lived experience together with professional expertise. Its BeyondTrauma™ approach focuses on education rather than therapy, helping people understand trauma and develop practical recovery skills without requiring them to disclose or repeatedly revisit traumatic experiences. The Academy offers structured programmes, self-study materials, free Survivor Information Sessions, educational resources, peer-support opportunities and an online Survivor Forum. For those who wish to continue, pathways can include further learning, certificates, accredited training, the Level 4 BeyondTrauma™ Facilitator Diploma, professional development, employment or enterprise.

The organisation also works with women in and beyond custody, young people, parents, community groups and partner organisations. Its professional services include CPD training, consultancy, co-design and learning through the BeyondTrauma Advisory Network. These activities aim to strengthen trauma-informed practice across criminal justice, healthcare, social care and education. Founded by Mayameen Meftahi BEM, Beyond Trauma Academy connects survivor knowledge with individual learning and wider systems change, creating opportunities for recovery, connection and progression.
