About Jasmine Green
**Brand Description: Black Girl Absolute**
Black Girl Absolute is the vibrant creative endeavor of Jasmine Green, a self-taught visual artist and poet based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. With over a decade of experience, Jasmine focuses on representing and celebrating Black women through her diverse art forms, primarily utilizing acrylic painting. Her artwork is a powerful blend of rich, saturated colors and organic elements, capturing the essence of Black womanhood while advocating for visibility and resilience against societal oppression.
As an "artivist," Jasmine’s work connects her to global narratives of Black identity, fostering a transformative dialogue about beauty and worth. Beyond her artistic pursuits, she holds the position of Director of Education at 1Hood Media, a non-profit organization dedicated to arts and social justice. Through her exhibitions and educational initiatives, Jasmine aims to inspire communities, challenging perceptions and affirming the inherent value of every individual. Collectively, Black Girl Absolute is not just an art brand; it’s a movement for empowerment and celebration of Black lives.
