BGA Video is a Swedish service brand specialising in the digitisation of film, tapes, photographs and other media. Operating since 1993, the company helps customers preserve family memories by converting older formats into digital versions. Its services cover VHS and other video formats, including VHS-C, Video8, Hi8 and MiniDV; small-gauge film such as Super 8, Double 8 and 16 mm; slides; photographs and negatives; and audio media including cassette tapes, reel-to-reel tapes, MiniDisc and vinyl records. BGA Video also digitises family films and personal recordings stored on DVD.
Customers can bring their materials to one of the company’s nine Swedish stores or send them in by post. Before work begins, staff inspect the items and provide a cost estimate for approval. The company says originals are returned, with digitised material delivered in the selected format. Its process includes careful cleaning and manual checks, and customers receive personal assistance in store. BGA Video also offers information about pricing, formats and the digitisation process through its customer service resources.
