Brantford Ice Cats

Brantford Girls Hockey Association (BGHA) is a community hockey organization in Brantford and a proud member of the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association. It supports girls’ participation in hockey through programs for a range of ages and experience levels, including Representative, House League, Tyke and Ice Kittens divisions. The association’s website helps players and families find teams, access registration and tryout information, review schedules and results, and learn about arenas, policies and association operations.

BGHA also provides resources for player and goalie development, coaching, equipment, athlete wellbeing and safe sport. Its materials include Hockey Canada and OWHA player pathways, training and skill-development information, concussion guidance, and certification resources for team staff. The association hosts the annual Walter Gretzky Tournament and shares team achievements, awards, scholarships and community involvement. Its news and fundraising initiatives, including a breast cancer fundraiser, reflect a focus on bringing members together beyond the rink. Through hockey programs, development resources and community activities, BGHA serves players, families, coaches and volunteers in the Brantford area.
