Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Kochi Kendra is the first Kendra of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Kerala. Guided by the ideals of its founders, it promotes education, Indian culture and community service through a range of activities in and around Kochi. The Kendra manages seven schools and one management institute, offering educational opportunities from early childhood through school and management studies.

Its Bala Mandirs provide kindergarten education with an emphasis on children’s holistic development. The Kendra also supports cultural programmes, public talks and discourses, helping to share India’s heritage and ideas with younger generations and the wider community. Its Mahila Vibhag has worked to support the uplift and empowerment of underprivileged people.

For cultural and community events, the Kendra’s air-conditioned auditorium on T. D. Road accommodates up to 550 people.

Its Books Division offers titles on subjects including Indian mythology, culture, literature, religion, social change and justice. Together, these educational, cultural and social initiatives make the Kochi Kendra a multifaceted institution serving its community
