Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation

The Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation is a Ukrainian nonprofit established in 2017 by the wife and children of economist, visionary and philanthropist Bohdan Hawrylyshyn. It preserves his legacy and supports people working to build a values-driven Ukraine: a successful democratic state shaped by responsible and free citizens. The Foundation develops and delivers programs that educate, inspire and create opportunities for active Ukrainians, especially young people and civil society organizations. Its work promotes personal responsibility, draws on successful European practices, shares Ukrainian perspectives internationally and fosters an ecosystem for positive change.

The Foundation’s activities include programs for changemakers, youth diplomacy initiatives and efforts to promote the principles of human responsibility and Hawrylyshyn’s ideas. Projects also include educational and scholarship opportunities, the Youth Delegate of Ukraine to the United Nations program, the Responsibility Award, and cultural initiatives such as a travelling exhibition of the Declaration of Human Responsibility. Through these programs, partnerships and community-building activities, the Foundation supports leadership, recovery and the development of democratic processes in Ukraine.
