The BHGS

The British Historical Games Society (BHGS) is a UK-based organisation that supports tabletop wargaming through events, information and connections within the hobby. Its main activity is organising multi-ruleset tournaments across the UK, welcoming players of historical games as well as fantasy and science-fiction wargames. The society also shares details of its own and affiliated events, calendars, tournament rules, previous results and rankings for a range of games, including DBMM, DBM, MeG, Field of Glory and L’Art de la Guerre.

BHGS events include Britcon, which features a trade show and activities such as demonstration games, workshops and a bring-and-buy area, as well as the Burton Doubles and the UK Saga Grand Melee. For people who are new to wargaming or returning to the hobby, the website offers an introduction to tabletop wargaming and a directory of clubs. Visitors can also find useful links and contact the committee with questions or feedback. A mailing list provides occasional updates about upcoming events, with subscribers able to unsubscribe at any time.
