About BHT
Blue Hill Troupe is a renowned theater brand that has been captivating audiences in New York City for nearly a century. Not only do they deliver top-notch theater performances, but they also prioritize giving back to the community through their philanthropic efforts. Since their establishment in 1924, Blue Hill Troupe has raised an impressive nine million dollars (adjusted for inflation) for various charitable organizations in the city.
With a diverse group of individuals from different walks of life and generations, the Troupe dedicates their time and energy to produce two full-scale productions annually, one Broadway musical or light opera and one Gilbert and Sullivan operetta. Moreover, they offer a delightful concert series during the winter season. The net proceeds from ticket and advertising sales go to support a different New York City-based charity each year.
Although many members of the Troupe work in other professions, they wholeheartedly contribute their talents to singing, acting, set designing, costume and prop creation, and many other crucial aspects of theater production. This collective dedication and effort shine through in the high-quality performances that the Blue Hill Troupe consistently delivers. Their exceptional work has earned them special honors, including performances at Carnegie Hall and recognition in esteemed art institutions.
With a passion for theater and a devotion to supporting charitable causes, Blue Hill Troupe continues to make a lasting impact on the New York City arts scene
