BHVD

BHVD, or Blinden Hilfsmittel Vertrieb Dresden, is a small Dresden-based team that has spent many years supplying, refurbishing, and supporting assistive products for blind and visually impaired people. The company combines product sales with individual advice, training, and guidance on finding suitable equipment, funding options, and additional support. Customers can arrange appointments to try products at its consultation room, and BHVD also presents its range at trade fairs and exhibitions.

Its products support daily life, work, reading, communication, mobility, and independence. The range includes text-reading systems, screen magnifiers and video magnifiers, electronic magnifiers, accessible phones, smart cameras, Braille displays and note-takers, Braille printers, screen-reading software, speech output, and OCR tools. BHVD also offers orientation aids, canes, product and colour identification devices, talking watches, Daisy players, adapted household and office equipment, and tactile drawing tools. Alongside retail, the team provides instruction and can help connect customers with trainers for mobility or everyday living skills. BHVD publishes a free product catalogue in print, digital, and Daisy audio formats.
