Bibliothek

Liechtenstein National Library, based in Vaduz, is a cultural and information institution serving readers, researchers, students and the wider community. Its catalogue brings together materials held by the Library and other institutions in Liechtenstein’s library network, and gives users access to their personal library accounts. The collection includes general materials as well as Liechtenstein-related publications, literary archives and bibliographic resources.

The Library supports both in-person and digital use. Visitors can use workspaces and library services, get advice, join tours and school programmes, request interlibrary loans, suggest purchases and attend events. Its digital media services—Dibiost, GENIOS, OverDrive and filmfriend—provide borrowing access to ebooks, audiobooks, films, newspapers and magazines. The eLiechtensteinensia portal offers searchable full text across more than 850,000 digitised pages of historical newspapers, books and journals from and about Liechtenstein. Through these collections and services, the Library preserves and shares local heritage while connecting users with a broad range of knowledge and media. It also publishes reading recommendations and updates about its collections, programmes and development.
