About Bibracte
Bibracte is a captivating archaeological site located at the foot of Mont Beuvray, dedicated to unveiling the history of the ancient Gaulish city that served as the capital of the Aedui people over 2000 years ago. The Bibracte Museum provides visitors with immersive experiences that include guided tours to explore the remnants of this historic oppidum hidden under a lush forest. Guests can engage in varied activities such as hiking, workshops, and guided visits, making the site a perfect destination for autumn excursions.
The museum also features a restaurant, Le Chaudron, where visitors can savor a taste of Gaulish culinary traditions from March to November. Additionally, the innovative mobile application "La Boussole" enriches the visitor experience by revealing insights about the ancient city through their smartphones.
