About Bus Industry Confederation
BIC, or the Bus Industry Confederation, was established in Canberra with a vision to foster better public transport outcomes and planning for ‘liveable’ cities and regions. As the lead organization for consultation on public transport and people movement, BIC works with federal and state and territory governments to represent the collective interests of its members. BIC’s mandate includes representing bus and coach manufacturers and suppliers on national policy and regulation issues with various federal working groups.
The organization aims to enhance the sustainability and liveability of Australia’s cities and regions by promoting safe, efficient, and effective bus and coach transportation. BIC’s objectives include encouraging investment in public transport infrastructure, promoting environmentally responsible policies and actions, and ensuring accessibility and mobility needs are met for all Australians. Through its activities, BIC contributes to the economy, society, and environment of Australia.
If you're interested in the bus and coach industry and its role in public transport, BIC provides valuable resources, research, and industry advisories to promote moving people and fostering a viable bus and coach industry in Australia
