Bicester Motion is a mobility and aviation destination based at the historic former RAF Bicester aerodrome in Oxfordshire. Its 444-acre site has welcomed aircraft since 1911 and combines a nationally significant aviation heritage with facilities intended to support future mobility. The private, unlicensed airfield is dedicated to business aviation, research and development, and technology testing.
Its grass runways accommodate different weather conditions, and access and landing permissions are available by request through an automated prior-permission booking system. The site supports emerging aviation fields, including advanced air mobility and electric vertical take-off and landing technologies, offering a setting to trial, develop and showcase new solutions. Services for visiting pilots include landing and overnight outdoor aircraft parking, while on-site accommodation is available in four rooms in the former RAF Power House.
