About La Bicicleta
La Bicicleta is a renowned brand in Costa Rica that offers a unique blend of theater and puppetry for children. With a repertoire of captivating shows such as Juanito and the Magic Beans, Cabécares Stories, Olivia and the Magic Hat, If Birds Could Talk, AM (Acertijo Mayor), Nana Raíz, Whistles in the Forest, and Where Will the Child be Born? La Bicicleta provides an immersive and enchanting experience for audiences of all ages. To celebrate their 20th anniversary, La Bicicleta is presenting two special shows, A Killer on the Boat and the pre-pandemic performance, Whistles in the Forest, at the esteemed Teatro 1887.
Educational institutions can also enjoy these shows, accompanied by a cultural tour of the historic building at the Centro Nacional de la Cultura, a guided visit to the National Library, and educational materials to enhance their theater experience. Supported by the National Theater Company, the Ministry of Culture and Youth, and the Miguel Obregón Lizano National Library, this anniversary celebration is an opportunity to motivate students' return to school and creatively commemorate this important date.
