The Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) is a non-profit organization established in Brussels in 2013. It represents the private sector in a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) with the European Commission, with a focus on strengthening the bio-based industries sector in Europe. BIC's industry members span the entire value chain, from primary production to market.

These members come from various sectors including agriculture, agri-food, aquaculture, marine, chemicals, materials (including bioplastics), forestry, pulp and paper, technology providers, waste management, and treatment. BIC also has associate members, such as research organizations, academia, and trade associations. Previously known as the Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU) from 2014-2020, BIC's partnership with the European Commission had a total budget of €3.

7 billion and operated under Horizon 2020. As of 2021, the new partnership is called the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) with a budget of €2 billion. BIC is a founding member of the European Bioeconomy Alliance (EUBA), an alliance dedicated to promoting and realizing the potential of the bioeconomy in Europe.
