SLC Bike Collective

SLC Bike Collective is a nonprofit brand that aims to provide bicycles to those in need. Their mission is to refurbish donated bicycles and distribute them to children, newly resettled refugees and immigrants, individuals experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity, individuals recovering from substance abuse, and low-to-moderate income households. In 2022 alone, SLC Bike Collective gave away 1,522 bicycles through their Bikes For Goodwill, Earn-A-Bike, and Kids Bike Giveaways programs, which are administered through over 65 community partners throughout Utah.

Additionally, they sold 1,455 refurbished bikes at an affordable price, allowing everyone to enjoy the joys of cycling. SLC Bike Collective is powered by charitable donations, with approximately 40% of revenue coming from individuals, corporations, and foundations, while the remaining 60% is generated through their retail activities. Every dollar earned from reselling bikes and parts is reinvested to support their operations, including giving more bikes away, funding training and education programs, and keeping tons of recycled material out of landfills
