BUFS, short for Bidwell Urban Farm Shop, is dedicated to nourishing its neighborhood by sustainably producing affordable, healthy food while empowering and educating the community. As a program within Bidwell Training Center, an affiliate of Manchester Bidwell Corporation, BUFS aims to bridge the gap between communities and institutions by providing fresh, locally-sourced food to residents. Through a partnership with Local Dutch, BUFS is implementing a cutting-edge grow system that will revolutionize food production, using significantly less water and land while increasing yield and eliminating waste.

In addition to offering the freshest hydroponic produce, BUFS also provides quality local goods from Pittsburgh region farmers, as well as premium potted herbs and ornamental plants. With a focus on education, BUFS strives to inform and engage customers about the benefits of local food production and consumption.
