BIENENFREUNDE OBERLAND

BIENENFREUNDE OBERLAND e. V. is a nonprofit association working to promote bees and protect the natural habitats they depend on in the Oberland region of Germany. Based in Warngau, the organization encourages local action to make the environment more welcoming to bees and other insects. Members and nonmembers are invited to support its work and contribute to a more insect-friendly community.

The association offers courses and events, including guidance for people interested in becoming beekeepers. Its website also shares practical and educational information on beekeeping and bee welfare, covering topics such as hive systems, the Varroa mite and suitable spring food for bees. Projects include the creation of a sandarium, a nesting habitat for wild bees, and the association reports on activities such as welcoming bees to a new home and holding its annual meeting.

Through its learning opportunities, resources and local projects, BIENENFREUNDE OBERLAND connects people who want to help safeguard pollinators and the natural spaces that sustain them.
