About Bienenweide
**Bienenweide e.V.**
Bienenweide e.V. is a dedicated non-profit organization founded in 2016, focusing on combating the alarming decline of insect populations, particularly wild bees and butterflies. With a mission to enhance biodiversity, Bienenweide e.V. creates bee-friendly habitats using regional seed mixtures, successfully establishing over 55,000 m² of flowering meadows across urban and rural areas. This initiative not only supports pollinators but also improves the ecosystem by providing essential food and living spaces.
The organization operates entirely through volunteer efforts and relies on donations and sponsorships to fund their projects. Supporters can contribute through annual sponsorships, which directly finance the procurement of seeds and the maintenance of bee habitats. Additionally, Bienenweide e.V. engages the community through information sessions, workshops, and film events aimed at raising awareness about the vital role of pollinators in our food systems.
By nurturing these initiatives, Bienenweide e.V. exemplifies the belief that "first the blossom creates diversity," empowering individuals to foster a healthier environment for future generations.
