BIG – Branschsamverkan i Grunden is a research program for the efficient and secure foundation of the transportation system's infrastructure. The program was established in late 2013 and began its operations on January 1, 2014. The program's partners include Chalmers University of Technology, Luleå University of Technology, the Swedish Geotechnical Institute, the Royal Institute of Technology, and the Swedish Transport Administration.

The aim of the program is to reduce costs for the construction and maintenance of the transportation system's infrastructure, as well as contribute to the achievement of the UN's global goals through long-term and systematic development work in the field of geotechnics. The partners jointly formulate the program's goals, direction, priorities, and financing for research and innovation efforts. In the program's second period (2018 to 2023), the volume of estimated research and development projects has increased from approximately 60 million to 80 million.
