BIG HOPE RANCH is an equestrian centre in Wasseralfingen, Germany, run by Ramona Ziegler, a state-recognised horse professional specialising in Western riding and an EWU “B” trainer. Drawing on experience as a riding instructor and horse trainer, Ziegler offers support for riders and horses at different stages of training.
The ranch provides riding lessons for children, young people and adults, with school horses available to help newcomers get started. Horse-training services include breaking in young horses, professional schooling and corrective training for horses experiencing difficulties. Riders preparing for competition can receive guidance on their first steps or arrange for Ziegler to present their horse at a show.
Facilities include a 20-by-40-metre indoor riding arena, a riding ring of the same size, a horse walker, a riders’ lounge and pastures. The site has a boarding stable for up to 20 horses alongside a separate stable for school horses. Youth development is a particular focus, and the ranch also seeks to host courses with established trainers.
