The Big Apple Softball League is NYC's ONLY LGBTQ+ softball league, founded in 1977 with the intention of creating an inclusive space for everyone regardless of race, religion, age, gender expression, or sexual orientation. We offer double-header slowpitch softball games on Saturdays and Sundays during our Spring/Summer Season. But our league is about much more than just softball.
We organize various parties and events throughout the year, including an Opening Party, End of Season Awards Ceremony, our annual HoliGay Party, and monthly league-wide socials. Our teams also host happy hours and fundraisers. Playing with the Big Apple Softball League is a fantastic way to get involved in the LGBTQ+ Community both on and off the field.
Additionally, we are proud to announce the return of the Gotham City Classic on October 7th and 8th, 2023. Join us and be a part of our passionate community
