Big Bear Planetariums is an Ireland-based mobile planetarium service that brings immersive astronomy experiences to schools, events and communities. Its inflatable planetariums transform school halls, gyms, libraries and suitable outdoor spaces into 4K, 360-degree journeys through the universe. With two portable planetariums, the company can accommodate larger days and events, bringing the equipment and setup directly to customers.
The live, interactive shows are tailored to the age and interests of each audience, from primary pupils to adults. For primary and secondary schools, programmes connect with the curriculum and explore topics such as the Solar System, stars, galaxies and space exploration. Shows also cover science, technology, engineering and maths, including gravity, telescopes, satellites, rockets and the scale of space.
Big Bear Planetariums also provides experiences for corporate groups, private parties, festivals, libraries and community organisations. These can include team events, family days, birthday celebrations and festival attractions. Visits follow a simple process: the team arrives, sets up the planetarium, presents the shows and packs everything away afterward.
