Big Bones Canine Rescue is a dedicated dog rescue organization that aims to provide a better life for dogs in need. Founded by Kristie Fisher in 2012, our journey began with a heartwarming rescue effort for a big dog in distress. Since then, our rescue efforts have grown exponentially, and we have successfully saved over 2,000 dogs each year.

Based in Windsor, Colorado, we have expanded to a second facility in Wellington, Colorado in 2022. We specialize in rescuing all kinds of dogs, including giant breeds, seniors, medical cases, as well as mutts and purebred dogs. Our lifesaving efforts are made possible by our incredible team of volunteers who handle everything from website management to adoption processes.

At Big Bones Canine Rescue, we are proud to be a volunteer-run organization. We don't have any paid staff, which means every donation and support goes directly toward helping the dogs in our care. Join us as a volunteer, or support our cause by fostering a dog or making a donation.

Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of these deserving animals
