Big Boy Restaurants is a beloved brand with a rich history that began in 1936 when Bob Wian purchased a hamburger stand in Glendale, California. Originally named Bob's Pantry, it was later renamed Bob's Big Boy® to celebrate the iconic Big Boy® mascot sketched by a movie studio animator. The brand gained popularity with its innovative offerings, including the introduction of the first double deck cheeseburger in 1937.

Designed by renowned architect Wayne McAllister, the restaurant's unique architecture became a landmark, with the oldest remaining Bob's Big Boy location in Burbank, CA being recognized as a Point of Historical Interest. The brand further expanded with franchise opportunities, and by 1964, the Elias Brothers had opened 100 Big Boy® restaurants. Big Boy® has made cultural appearances throughout the years, with memorable scenes filmed at its locations in movies like Heat and Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.

Today, Big Boy® continues to evolve, offering new menu items and ways to enjoy their classics, while also prioritizing community involvement and giving back. Join the Big Boy® family and experience the legacy of delicious food and warm memories that have spanned over 86 years
