Big Dawg Outfitters offers guided fishing experiences in East Texas, serving anglers and families around Lufkin. Owned and operated by Captain Scott Pierce, the business draws on his 30 years of fishing experience and his enthusiasm for sharing the sport with visitors and the next generation. Trips are available on Lake Sam Rayburn, Lake Nacogdoches, Lake Livingston, and Toledo Bend, with options tailored to different interests and seasons.
Freshwater packages include catfish, crappie, white bass, and bass fishing. Most last six to eight hours and are priced at $400 for up to four guests, with an additional charge for each extra guest; children under 12 fish free. A family package on Lake Nacogdoches combines morning bass fishing with opportunities for swimming, tubing, and knee boarding. The outfitter also offers kid-friendly frog gigging trips near Lufkin and offshore fishing excursions from Port O’Connor, targeting species such as snapper, kingfish, cobia, shark, mahi, and barracuda.
Fishing gear and bait are provided.
