Big Hoss Moving is a locally owned moving company serving North Carolina’s Hickory Metro Area. Established in 2024 by Andrew Sverko and Makiah Fox, the business draws on the owners’ decade of moving and furniture-handling experience. The owners personally carry out moves, with a focus on helping customers relocate safely, efficiently, and affordably.
Services include loading and unloading, full moves, multiple-stop moves, packing, and labor-only assistance. Customers can request help with personal storage, rearranging items at home, or unloading U-Haul trucks and portable storage containers. Big Hoss also offers moving and storage packages, with secure storage at a local unit for up to six months and 24/7 access arranged in advance. Pricing varies according to the size of the job, and estimates are free by phone or in person.
The company aims to make moving day simpler and less stressful, handling belongings from the customer’s home through delivery and placement at the new residence.
