Founded in 2005 by Biliana and Kiril Kirilov, a husband and wife duo, Big Kid Circus represents a beautiful fusion of tradition and innovation. With Kiril being a second-generation circus artist and Biliana being the first from her family to join the circus, their passion and expertise are undeniable.

Biliana, having traveled extensively to countries like Cuba, the USSR, Italy, and Greece, brings a diverse range of circus skills and acrobatics to the table. On the other hand, Kiril, while completing his education, mastered the business aspect of the circus, ensuring its growth and success within the industry. Together, they have produced 16 successful annual tours in the UK, catering to the entire family.

Furthermore, their expansion into South East Asia with the Great British Circus has allowed them to share British circus culture and art with audiences in Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia. The next generation of the Kirilov family, David, Julia, and Nicole, have also embraced the legacy and responsibility of the circus. David oversees the logistics, managing a dedicated team to ensure smooth operations during the tours.

Julia, armed with a background in events management and public relations, envisions pushing the boundaries of the circus art form and its social impact in today's society. She plans to open her own show in 2022, promoting body positivity and inclusivity integrated with circus as a powerful platform for art. Nicole, the youngest of the three, is already showcasing her talent and dreams of becoming a dancer and actress intertwined with the circus.

At Big Kid Circus, their dedicated team of performers and staff, from various cultural backgrounds, work together like a family. Believing in the power of diversity and inclusivity, the brand fosters creative and unique thinking, resulting in extraordinary circus productions. Even during the challenging times brought by the pandemic in 2020, Big Kid Circus remained strong, prioritizing the safety and support of their staff.

Thanks to their resilience and the assistance of the Arts Council England's Cultural Recovery Grant, they emerged successfully.
