Big Machine Racing is a motorsports team based in Welcome, North Carolina, owned by music executive Scott Borchetta, founder and CEO of Nashville-based Big Machine Label Group and Big Machine Distilleries. Established in 2021, the team competes in stock car racing and has built a record of strong finishes, including multiple top-five and top-ten results. Its first victory came at Texas Motor Speedway in 2022, followed by a second win at Atlanta in 2025. The team also reached the playoffs in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Big Machine Racing brings together a specialist crew supporting driver Dr. Patrick Staropoli, including crew chief Patrick Donahue, spotter Michael Fisher, engineer Morgan Olsen and staff responsible for shop operations, interiors, suspension and transport. The organization shares team news, schedules and photography through its website, and invites inquiries about sponsorship opportunities. Its connection to Big Machine Label Group links the racing operation with a broader entertainment and spirits business, while the team’s competition program remains focused on racing and track performance.
