Big Sun Press

Big Sun Press is an independent publisher based on the East Coast of Australia, bringing together writers and translators from across the world to share distinctive stories and perspectives. Its work focuses on telling unique stories, uncovering important histories, and preserving cultural viewpoints that might otherwise be overlooked. Through thoughtfully curated publications, the press connects past and present, helping readers encounter forgotten narratives and lesser-known texts.

Alongside new book releases, Big Sun Press prepares reprints of selected works, making favourite and less familiar publications available to new audiences. Its publishing programme also includes Farlander magazine, and the brand offers merchandise through its online store. The website provides information about current releases, reprints, and opportunities to submit work, inviting writers and other potential collaborators to get in touch. With an independent approach and an interest in uncovering overlooked stories, Big Sun Press serves readers seeking fresh perspectives, meaningful histories, and publications that broaden the cultural conversation.
