About BIKE LOOP
Bikeloop AS is a Norwegian brand dedicated to providing intelligent bicycle parking solutions for urban areas. With offices in Lysaker, just outside Oslo, our mission is to install 1000 Bikeloops in the EU market by 2027. We aim to solve the problem of missing safe parking options for cyclists.
The idea for Bikeloop originated from the harbor promenade in Oslo, where orange containers were placed to mark the way along the seafront. Our inventor, Ketil Mørk Tveten, envisioned turning these empty and non-functional containers into bicycle parking machines. With the support of Hedda Heyerdahl, one of the founders of Bikeloop, the first Bikeloop was created two years later.
Although we haven't yet convinced the Municipality of Oslo to replace one of the empty towers with a Bikeloop, the Municipality of Bærum and their Smart City program took the initiative and helped us set up the first Bikeloop at Kadettangen in Sandvika. Our aim is to install thousands of Bikeloops across Europe, including the harbor promenade in Oslo.
