Bilbao Blues Festival is a music event created to establish Bilbao as an international destination for blues. Organized by Crazy Blues S.L.U., the festival presents live performances and has held editions from 2022 through 2026. Its 2026 edition is scheduled for July 24–26, bringing blues artists and audiences together in the city.
The festival’s programme features a range of performers, including the Bilbao All Star Blues Band, Blues Train, Ian Siegal Electric Band, Ivan Singh, Judith Hill, Mark Hummel’s Blues Blowout, Skyler Saufley, The Cherry Boppers and Travellin’ Brothers. Alongside its concerts, Bilbao Blues Festival shares news, information about past editions and content introducing visitors to Bilbao and its surroundings.
The event also supports emerging and established blues bands through the Volotea Blues Challenge. The competition selects four bands to vie for the opportunity to represent Spain at the European Blues Challenge. With performances, a band competition and a focus on the host city, Bilbao Blues Festival combines live blues with cultural discovery.
