In Ethiopia, Bilisummaa partners with local clinics to provide health education and period kits to students, supporting 40 to 50 students each month. Kits include reusable pads, underwear, cloth, and soap. In Minnesota, the organization works with homeless shelters and other local organizations to provide period kits, and is seeking additional partners and supporters as its work grows.

Bilisummaa invites people to help through monetary donations, which fund the purchase and distribution of period kits, or by donating products through its Amazon wish list. The organization reports that 51% of students supported missed fewer days of school, while all surveyed students said access to menstrual hygiene products improved their overall well-being.
