Babcock International Model United Nations (BIMUN) is a nationally recognized initiative that brings together young leaders who are passionate about the work of the United Nations. As the first Model United Nations in Nigeria organized by a private university, BIMUN aims to empower young Africans to become leaders in building a better world. Through an international network spanning over 20 African countries, BIMUN facilitates youth engagement, advocacy efforts, education programs, and public events.

Hosted by Babcock University, BIMUN embraces the challenges of our ever-globalizing age, recognizing the vital role of the nation-state and the university within it. Since its establishment in 1999, Babcock University has grown significantly, with its graduates making a positive impact on the world stage.

BIMUN offers a unique learning experience through simulation-based programs that teach students about the work of the United Nations. Participants take on the roles of delegates from member states, engaging in debates and discussions that reflect real UN committees. This "learning by doing" approach equips delegates with practical skills such as public speaking, drafting official international documents, team building, leadership, research, and cross-cultural collaboration.
