Bindungswerk Lübeck

Bindungswerk Lübeck is the practice of Mareike Schacht, a certified breastfeeding and lactation consultant serving families in Lübeck and the surrounding area. Her approach is evidence-informed, empathetic and relationship-focused, with individual guidance tailored to each parent and child rather than one-size-fits-all solutions. Consultations are available in clients’ homes or online, and support can continue after appointments through messaging.

Services cover preparation for breastfeeding, support with starting and managing breastfeeding, and help with challenges such as pain, sore nipples, milk supply concerns, milk stasis, mastitis, latch difficulties and insufficient infant weight gain. Mareike also advises on breastfeeding during illness, medication or medical examinations, suspected oral restrictions such as tongue-tie, breastfeeding pauses and responsive weaning. Expectant parents can book a preparation session, while families seeking peer connection can attend the practice’s breastfeeding café at a local family education centre; parents who bottle-feed are welcome too.

Mareike draws on her own experience as a mother and professional training in lactation, breastfeeding and family support.
