Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited (Bindura Nickel Corporation or BNC) is a mining company based in Bindura, Zimbabwe. Established in 1966 by Anglo-American Corporation, BNC operates a mine and owns a smelter and refinery complex. Although the smelter and refinery are currently not operational, BNC is engaged in the mining and extraction of nickel and its by-products, including copper and cobalt.
The company's main product is nickel in concentrate, which contains nickel sulphide. Nickel is primarily used in the production of stainless steel, and with the growing demand for electric and hybrid cars, the demand for nickel sulphide is expected to rise. BNC employs over 1,100 permanent and contract personnel, and its subsidiaries include BSR Limited, Hunters Road Nickel Mine, and Trojan Nickel Mine.
