Bingham Penguins Swimming Club

Bingham Penguins is a Nottinghamshire-based disability swimming club supporting disabled people, their families and carers. Established around forty-five years ago, the club provides Sunday swimming sessions at Bingham Arena, where members can enjoy the water, build confidence and take part in a safe, supportive setting. Its work is delivered by a volunteer team, including coaches and poolside helpers, who are trained and DBS checked to help safeguard swimmers.

Registered charity number 1093749, Bingham Penguins is run entirely by volunteers and funded exclusively through donations. The club welcomes support through donations and encourages people to share its fundraising appeal. Its website provides information for swimmers and families, including details about joining, term dates, accessibility, frequently asked questions, welfare, volunteering, governance and policies. Bingham Penguins combines swimming opportunities with a community-focused approach, aiming to make sessions accessible and reassuring for disabled swimmers and those who support them. It offers a dedicated setting where participants can develop comfort and confidence in the water with trained assistance.
