Binnenwijs Orthopedagogiek

Binnenwijs Orthopedagogiek is a small, independent private practice in Oosterbeek serving children and young people aged 8 to 18 in the Arnhem region. Founded and run by orthopedagogue Evy Menkveld, the practice offers warm, knowledgeable, and personal support for children facing learning difficulties, emotional concerns, or challenges with behavior. With more than 15 years of experience, Evy works closely with each child and, where appropriate, their parents and school to understand the full picture and tailor support to individual needs.

Services include dyslexia assessments, IQ and learning-profile assessments, assessment and guidance for giftedness, and support with learning strategies, planning, fear of failure, perfectionism, low confidence, and emotional regulation. Treatment may draw on cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and emotional regulation training. The process begins with a no-obligation introductory conversation and includes an intake and a clear written report with a proposed approach. Binnenwijs emphasizes timely access, personal contact, and a safe, supportive relationship, helping children build self-understanding, confidence, and greater ease at home and school.
