The American Biochar Institute (ABI) is an organization supporting the growing biochar industry through trusted information, standards, and coordinated leadership. Formerly the U.S. Biochar Initiative, ABI adopted its expanded identity in 2026 to reflect its role as a central resource for the biochar ecosystem.
